General

The trip starts at the bus stop in Durres. Around 07:30 the group meets with the the guide; during this time the guide makes a short description of itinerary. At 8:00, we leave for the historical Cycle Eye.

At 9:45 we are in the valley of the Erzen River and in the pearl of Krraba. What will make us curiosity is precisely the name of this area, why is it called Cyclop Eye?

This question is answered by the local inhabitants with a legend passed over from generation to generation. It is thought that after a clash with the other beasts the Cyclop fell from the top of the mountain and where he died was formed a lake in heart shape and where he stepped for the time the last one left traces of scratching the claws. The history of the creation of this country is a bit scary, but the beauties it offers overwhelm all fear and arouse pleasure. Both of these marks left by the cyclop we will be able to touch and look closely.

After that we have the chance to dive into the "Heart of the Cyclop" (if we wish) and see how clear and fresh the water of this lake is. During this time we get ready to eat the lunch we can take with us or we will consume it in one of the nearby premises.

Our journey will not end there because in return we will visit Petrela Castle one of the most well-known castles in Albania. This fortress was built in the 6th century AD and served as a watchtower since it can be easily seen Kruja dhe Egnatia road. For architectural fans, we will also be able to show you the story of the construction of this fortress, which belongs to the six different phases. The most numerous data for this castle come from the writer Marlin Barleti who qualifies this the fortress as invincible because it`s positioned on the top.

While maintaining deep in our memory, images that gave us our journey on Cycle Eye, return on Durres with photo albums that we have made during our visit to the historical city.
